Ed's breeding program began in the 1970's with some outstanding hunting & field trial dogs. From this line his best-known dog was born in 1990, NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker. "TJ" amassed a remarkable record as a competitor with Jim John as his trainer and handler. His production record is unsurpassed (see details on TJ's web site), including siring the 2005 ABC National Amateur Champion, the 2006 ABC National Champion & Runner-Up, 2008 National Specialty winner, and two winners of the prestigious US Open Brittany Championship. After his passing in 2005, TJ was elected to both the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame and the American Brittany Club Hall of Fame.

Tequila Kennels puppies are hand raised, well socialized and bred for the best qualities of field trial competitors, bird dogs and companions.

She was a consistent winner in Gun Dog stakes in 2009 and is now just 2 points from completing her Field Championship. Tango is a daughter of DC/AFC Redlines Tequila Smoker, the top producing son of NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker.
